Labor Lab Handbook

The Labor Lab Handbook is an easy, hands-on way for pregnant women and their support team to learn skills that will enhance your labor experience.    This Labor Lab Booklet: Helps pregnant women and their partners prepare for labor Encourages parctice of labor by supplying activities for practice sessions Provides additional tools for discussion and education Develops confidence in comfort techniques Improves participation of the support person and promotes opportunities for the mother and labor partner to interact Gives partners a quick reference resource during labor

How to Use: Each page has activities to practice and topics to discuss.  Some items will be needed to accomplish the tasks.  For example: Birth Ball, Blankets, Pillows, etc If you are unfamiliar with a suggested topic or activity, please refer to the resource list on the inside back cover for more information. Making changes to a technique to best meet the mother's needs is encouraged
